Trevor shares the story behind “Long Road”:
*“As a songwriter, my songs have always needed to be a piece of me. ‘Long Road’ began during a small run in Nashville and on my long daily commutes. That week away showed me how hard it is to be gone from home, even when you're chasing something you love. This song became a promise—to my wife and now my daughter—that no matter where I am, I’m always working my way back to them.
Over time, the song has taken on new meaning for others. A woman once told me it reminded her of her father, a cross‑country truck driver who always did his best to make it home. That’s the beauty of music—your story becomes someone else’s. ‘Long Road’ is about the miles we travel, but also the people who make the journey worth it.”

ABOUT TREVOR MEADE
Trevor Meade is an Americana singer‑songwriter from Gate City, VA, a small town near Bristol in Southwest Virginia. In 2024, he won the TN Next Country Starcompetition at Ole Red in Gatlinburg, hosted by SevierTV — a milestone that led to his signing with Gravy Records.
Performing with his band Trevor Meade and the Statelines, his music blends Americana, Country, and Rock with influences from Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, The Eagles, The Lumineers, Tyler Childers, and Zach Bryan. Trevor’s writing centers around personal experience, shared stories, and the culture of the Appalachian region he calls home.
Since releasing his first EP in 2022, Trevor has built a loyal regional following across Northeast Tennessee, Kentucky, and Southwest Virginia. With roots in poetry and a lifelong connection to music, Trevor’s mission is simple: to tell the stories that deserve to be heard — for his friends, his family, and fellow Appalachians.
